you look amazing !! thank you so much for the advice and motivation !!!!
You’re doing great. You go girl. 🙌
Great video! I’m on a caloric deficit journey too! I liked all the info on your surgery. I didn’t know any of that info you shared!
I’ve actually been wondering about this! I just had gastric sleeve last October and I am about 10 pounds from my goal weight. I’ve wondered in your case what happened as far as your long term success with it. I’m hoping to not regain.
I had VSG June 22, so I’m 10 months post op. There are days I feel like surgery was a waste…. 30 pounds down and haven’t lost weight in months. I have never gotten sick from anything I ate, no full ques and crave sweets all the time
I’m in a similar place as you. I had gastric sleeve in 2013 and little to no mental health follow up. My weight has been up and down but never have been able to sustain a healthy weight. A variety of events allowed me to get to my lowest in 2018. Apparently I ate my way through the pandemic. Trying to find the strength to start the journey again. All the best to you in your journey. Really enjoy your videos!
Amen Jennifer! I’ve watched you for over 2 years now and this is my favorite video ❤ I didn’t know you’d had bariatric surgery; I’m not surprised with the statistics you shared. I’ve had a couple of friends who have too. Of the 3 only one has been what i feel is a success. She worked on a lot of emotional/mental issues and has changed to a much more healthier diet. I’m so proud of you, you have an intelligent attitude towards eating and health. Also loved your meal and snack ideas. Keep it coming friend ❤
Thanks for sharing, it’s so refreshing to see someone being so open and honest …that’s why we love you. Especially when we seem to be surrounded by either toxic positivity, extreme criticism or denial. I’m currently being tested for ADHD and know for myself personally weight gain is closely linked to getting dopamine hits … if I’m over tried, over stressed or over stimulated I tend to forget to exercise because I’m so fatigued and end up using food to get my hit. Once my life’s calms down again be it from time or getting coping strategies in place I can then focus back on exercise and coffee 😂 to get my dopamine… my weight drops down and I feel better. Sometimes it feels like I’m on a hamster wheel and can’t seem to do what I need to do to get back on track, but get there in the end.
Thank you for being so honest. As a binge/constant over eating I have always been so envious over others that had control over their weight/eating. Sorry you are going through it too, but comforting to know I am not alone.
Jen keep doing that darn “Thing” 👍🏽💪🏾👏🏽
Thanks for being so real!!😚!!!
Your smile is gorgeous. Tks for the info.
That buratta caprese salad looks amazing!
I had open gastric bypass surgery in 2003 I was 404 and dropped to 180 at my lowest. I kept it off for a LONG time BUT I had a horrible backlash w my actual incision…it never fully closed…up until June of last year I had to have an emergency hernia repair surgery after having numerous surgeries to fix the issue nothing worked until my hernia mesh was replaced by biological mesh….my hole I had for 20 years finally closed in Nov of last year….its been a journey….do i regret WLS?? No…do I wish my surgery was more successful. Yes. Am I resilient and never let it stop me? Also yes. Your recent weight loss has inspired me I started at 291 jan 1st and now at 275. Thank you jen
Taco Bell rocks!!!! Thanks for the recipe!
At the risk of sounding insane. If I sat somewhere and they told me no more wine for the rest of your life… I would laugh in their faces 😂😂😂 Have they seen the state of the world? Wine is necessary for me
Hi Jennifer…I love your video’s and this one was awesome. I had no idea you have WLS in 2016. I have always thought you looked beautiful and have so much energy. The struggle is real for so many…I have struggled all my life with the ups and downs of weight gain and loss. Just know that you are an inspiration to me and keep up the great work, you’re awesome !
I’m 12 years out from VGS and I’m 20 lbs above my lowest weight, which puts me solidly in a size 8 dress and 6/8 jeans, I weigh heavy and at 145/150 that’s my size, so I don’t worry more about the inches/measurements rather than hop on the scale often. My fixation with the numbers is detrimental for me. Protein is king for me too, I eat loads less and moderate big fat foods and sugary treats, I never say I can’t have any food, I just limit those to a taste rather than an average serving of them. You’re doing great Jennifer, to me it’s about how I feel and that I’m able to move and bend and stay active, it’s not about being skinny, my knees and ankles are SO much better since losing those initial 100 lbs and sitting at 80 lbs loss after that 20 regain, 12 years out is ok with me.
Thanks for sharing, I had my surgery almost 20 years ago and there really wasn’t much info back then. I lost a lot but of course gained half back. The weight loss struggle is real and hard. ❤
For my pizza night, I’ve been spraying non stick spray in a non stick pan, putting down a few slices of pepperoni, a sprinkle of cheese, a few teaspoons of marinara, a little more cheese, topping that with Italian seasonings and putting a low carb flour tortilla on top, cook til the cheese is melted and almost grilled …. Flip onto a plate, slide back in tortilla side down and brown the tortilla. So so so good and fixes my pizza craving … low fat mozzarella, no sugar added marinara and turkey pepperoni keep the calories count low.
