  2. Not a Dr but it’s clear that if you eat 5000 calories in keto, you will store that excess, and if you eat 2000 of high carb calorie deficit, you will lose fat. Your metabolism is based on bmr, neat, exercise, and food processing, not insulin. I like his fasting info but it’s incredible he’s hanging on to this narrative for dear life.

  3. Good morning. Interesting topics. So are we talking Macro Biotics in the Go Carnivore talk? Which was wildly popular when I was in my 20s in the 1970s Mother Earth movement, which I am still hanging onto to a degree. We raise grass fed beef and try for local organic vegetables, fruits, fish and alternative organic meats. Keto does help me to cut eating too many carbs. I am a carb queen! Trying to ditch sugar and foods that have been modified or not prepared by my hand. Gut health makes sense and I like some fermented vegetable , kefir, etc. Not planning on giving up blueberries. From all these diet lifestyles that are coming across You Tube and major book sales. I am leaning on a balance according to my lifestyle and age. Cancer fighting foods and moderate IF also sounds reasonable. Bottom line: I’m going to SIFT though all this collected date and try to use common sense to eat “BEST OF’ ~ Diane

  4. Would a coffee with two cream, no sugar be enough to count as breaking a fast? I drink it as my mid morning ‘breakfast’ and don’t eat any real food until 12pm, just wondering.

  7. When a negative thought has you in its undertow, break the circuit. Interrupt the pattern simply by breathing in. Focus your attention elsewhere until the negative thought no longer owns you. You own it.

    And you can decide what to do with it. Journal. Walk. Have a conversation with it. Treat it with compassion. Your breath will buy you these options and many more.
