Today we are diving into my postpartum journey, one year out from having my babies! I explain a little bit about how I’ve gotten stronger, how I approached losing the baby weight, and what my best recommendations for moms are! I hope this is helpful and that you remember we are all on our own journey, so don’t compare yourself to mine. xoxo ♥

  1. Thank you Caitlin! I have been waiting for this video. I just had my little baby and I love her so much. But I also want to be the best possible mom for her and that includes being fit enough to keep up with her growing body and playing with her at the park ❤

  2. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge on this! I’m so grateful that you mentioned Mutu in a previous video, I started a few months ago and it has helped so much!

  3. This is such an amazing video- female content creators have it SO tough. I can’t imagine the mental minefield that was planning this video. If you don’t work out after the baby you’re “letting yourself go” and not “prioritizing” your spouse and then if you are honest about wanting to feel AND look like your old self you’re “vain” or “setting unrealistic goals” for women. People are triggered by the word diet, people are triggered if you don’t pretend it’s an easy journey…. that you’re “bashing” motherhood by being honest, and some people (men and women) are triggered when the mother in their life didn’t “bounce back” to their pre-baby body within a specific timeline or with a specific amount of resources. It’s all too much pressure- let’s give each other GRACE. Thank you for being so honest and open about what works for you! It takes so much courage in this culture. You are such a blessing on this little corner of the Internet 🙂

  4. Pelvic floor therapy saved my life. I also recommend it to EVERYONE. I had a very rough birth and tore very badly like you did. Won’t ever be the same, don’t get me wrong, BUT with the pelvic floor therapy I’m at least 80% back to living normally.

  6. I’ve been waiting for this video, and it did not disappoint!!! Caitlin, you are an inspiration to me as a new mama. I am 5 months postpartum and have started eating healthier and walking more the past month. Not only is exercising good to start losing the baby weight, but it’s dramatically improved my mental health as well. I will definitely look into pelvic floor therapy and the program you used!

  7. Love the video and tips. I had my babies just 13 months apart from each other and in somewhat similar circumstances (c sections + trauma) and I just relate so much with all of this. I appreciate you acknowledging that people have trauma/triggers re: postpartum weight loss etc but let’s all be real, it definitely amounts to mostly calories in/out, movement, and gentle healing of the core/pelvic floor. I think we tend to overcomplicate it with all the different diets and programs we are always being sold, but essentially the basic plan is easy. Not necessarily easy to STICK to, but easy to comprehend! I’m glad to see a video that acknowledges that as well.

  8. Loved this video! Also, just a suggestion try wrinkles Schminkles or something like that. Those help soften lines temporarily, but they do help. Especially when used consistently.

  9. You’re amazing! I too had a very traumatic birth (c-section while sick with COVID alone in the hospital 🤪) with my first, and got pregnant again when he was only 6 months. I’m due with baby #2 in a month and already looking forward to post partum recovery and getting back to feeling like myself again. It is such a gransformation we go through, and you have gone through it beautifully 😊 I think I will rewatch this is a few months!

  11. Yesss I love the praise for pelvic floor therapy! I started going a year and a half ago for interstitial cystitis pain and it was the best decision ever. I paid out of pocket $200 every visit and it was worth every penny!! Now I’m pregnant with my first and keeping up with the appointments and it’s a true life saver. I recommend it to every single woman just for the mere fact that you learn SO MUCH about your body and anatomy that is sadly not taught to us. I walked away from it with an understanding of how my body and pelvic floor works that I had never had before
