  1. Grateful for the review! I’m not going to take it because I took rhodiola which is also supposed to support healthy blood sugar and felt like I was dying for weeks. Constantly felt I was on the verge of passing out, diarhea… Even if I lost a few pounds I’m not risking a bad reaction to another supplement. I would rather walk more and eat out less instead…

  2. as per usual, your timing is impeccable. i saw this going viral on tiktok a week ago. i’m usually good at weeding out diet stuff, but i found myself taking an extra look at the supplement section at whole foods “just to see” if they had berberine. ( they didn’t ) this video was super informative!

  3. Debunking berberine while touting “functional mushrooms” and the oh-so-appealing-sounding “mud water.” Hypocrisy at its finest.

  4. I thought the only reason why Ozempic works is because you need to be eating 2000 calories a day, (or something to that effect) which would in theory put you in a calorie deficit to lose the weight?

  5. Nooooo don’t give my secret away I discovered Berberine last year thanks to my naturopath. I’m down 6kgs and my sugar cravings have droped. I also changed my diet and stopped eating sugar in the morning.

  6. I just learned about the actual berries last night while reading “How Not to Diet”! Once he said it was used in Persian food, my interest was piqued.

  7. Berberine is also a possible treatment for canker sores. I’ve only used it once and it seemed to work, but maybe the sores would have been mild anyway—it was only an n of 1! I just broke open a capsule and packed it in. Very messy and leaves a bitter taste.

  8. I have been taking berberine for a year and a half to help with my pcsk9 over expression. My LDL has dropped. My blood sugar and weight were never an issue so it really surprised me that it is being promoted for weight lose. I was wondering why the price has escalated.
